Polar Medical Services provides First Aid and Camp Support Staff and Management Staff from construction to shut-down including:
- First Aid attendants with EMR, EMP, OFA
- Fully equipped Mobile Treatment Centres, with roll-over protection, including AEDs if requested
- Primary care paramedics and nurses
- Liaison for doctor oversight services
- All trucks equipped to First Aid room standards
- First Aid equipment package rentals
- ERP plans for site-specific needs
- Traffic services and flagging
- First Aid Combo-Staff, such as:
- Cooks and helpers
- Core Splitters
- Geotechs
- Camp Construction and Maintenance
- Office Logistical Staff
Our team is a close-knit, professional and experienced group of individuals who pride themselves on providing excellent service. The majority of our staff live locally.
Polar Medical Services understands that the key to our success is our qualified employees, for today and in the future. Most First Aid employees with Polar Medical Services have an average of 10 years experience as a Level 3 Occupational First Aid attendant. Polar Medical Services staff has training with TDG, H2S and WHMIS, and is striving to have our employees at EMP or EMR level.
Our Fleet:
Polar Medical Service’s current fleet is comprised of newer 4x4 F350 diesel pickups outfitted with Mobile Treatment Centers (MTCs) as well as safety boxes containing emergency road equipment sufficient to handle most situations encountered while traveling remote roads.
Our trucks are fully stocked with up to date equipment to First Aid Room standards. We are in full compliance with National Safety Code and WCB criteria for Mobile Treatment Centers.
We also provide a complete line of up to date communication equipment including mobile phones and radios, satellite phones and internet satellite systems.
Our Locations:
Polar Medical Services is situated in Fort St. James, right in the centre of British Columbia, making it easy for us to deploy our trucks and staff on short notice to anywhere in the province.
The Fort St. James location encompasses a 5.5 acre service yard and shop located at Dog Creek just 15 minutes south of Fort St. James. Our MTCs are maintained and serviced by a local certified mechanic experienced in keeping our trucks in top mechanical condition. Click here for our contact information.
Our Safety Policy:
Polar Medical Services believes that the safety performance of our company is a key to your success. We have an outstanding safety record, with zero incidents since we began full operations in 2005. Polar Medical Services is in full compliance with IRP16 and all regulatory authorities.
Polar Medical Services has made its Safety Management System available on-line. The SMS tracks compliance for the various components of our safety program such as policies acknowledged, procedures reviewed, and training courses completed.
